Is rent agreement registration compulsory in Pune?+
Yes. As per Maharashtra Rent Control Act 1999, any rent agreement for more than 11 months must be registered. Even 11-month agreements are now strongly recommended to be registered for legal protection of both parties.

How long does a rent agreement take?+
A standard 11-month leave & license agreement is usually completed within 24 hours once all documents are received. E-registration (with biometrics) takes 1-2 working days. Hard copy delivery takes an additional 2–3 days.

Can you do the agreement without me visiting your office?+

What is the difference between notarized and registered agreement?+
A notarized agreement is signed before a notary but not registered with the government. A registered agreement is stamped, pays government stamp duty, and is filed with the Sub-Registrar’s office. Registered agreements carry more legal weight and are needed for bank loans, visa applications, and court cases.

Do I need GST registration if I’m a freelancer?+
If your annual turnover exceeds ₹20 lakhs (₹10 lakhs for special states), GST registration is mandatory. Freelancers providing services across states must register regardless of turnover. We help you determine if you need it and complete the registration.

What documents are needed for Shop Act License?+
